Street Sharks: Jawsome Street-Fighting Mutants

Street Sharks was a popular animated series and toy line from the 1990s. It centered around a group of four brothers who were transformed into anthropomorphic sharks through genetic manipulation by the evil Dr. Paradigm.

  • The Heroes (Street Sharks): The Bolton brothers, John, Bobby, Coop, and Clint, become Ripster (Great White), Streex (Tiger Shark), Jab (Hammerhead), and Big%20Slamu (Whale Shark) respectively. They possess super strength, enhanced senses, and sharp teeth.

  • The Villain: Dr.%20Paradigm, also known as Dr. Piranoid, is the mastermind behind the sharks' transformations. He aims to create an army of mutants.

  • The Setting: The series is set in the fictional city of Fission City.

  • Premise: The Street Sharks fight Dr. Paradigm and his various mutant creations, often with a strong environmental message. They use their unique shark abilities and catchphrases ("Jawsome!") to defeat their foes.

  • Other Mutants: Besides the Street Sharks and Dr. Paradigm's creations, there were other mutated characters, both good and evil. This is because of Dr. Paradigm's experiments. Some examples are Slash and Seaviates.

  • Merchandise: The Street Sharks spawned a popular toy line by Mattel, featuring action figures with "realistic" shark skin and biting action. Other merchandise included video games, comics, and clothing.
